Cover Dance Competition
Round 1 applications are closed. Round 2 applications run August 20 through September 10 at 11:59 PM MDT for the remaining two finalist spots. The chosen teams perform live at JAMMY CON on October 31 for the $2,000 CAD grand prize.
How It Works
Apply with one video. Get reviewed online. Finalists perform live.
Phase 1 now has two application rounds. Round 1 voting and judge review select the Top 3, then Round 2 selects the remaining two finalists for the October 31 live finals.
Applications ran May 1–July 31. Public voting runs August 1–15, and the Top 3 advance.
Apply August 20–September 10. Public voting runs September 11–20, and the Top 2 advance.
The five selected finalists confirm their spots, attend required finalist logistics, perform on October 31, and compete for $2,000 CAD.
One K-pop song, max 4 minutes.
Your application video should be one continuous performance with clear audio and a full-body view when possible.
Max 10 members, no minimum.
All members must meet the 16+ requirement, and each performer may only be part of one group.
Use the team on your application.
The performing lineup must match the original application unless JAMMY CON approves a substitution in writing.
Do not hide the dancing.
No major edits or visual effects, including fire effects, that hide choreography, formations, or transitions.
Finalists perform October 31.
Finalists must confirm by their deadline and attend required check-in, rehearsal, and tech check.
$2,000 CAD grand prize.
Selected finalist groups receive Ultimate Passes for approved members listed on the original application.

Applications run August 20–September 10 at 11:59 PM MDT.

Public voting and judge review run September 11–20 at 11:59 PM MDT to select the remaining two finalists.
Finals
Selected finalist groups perform on October 31, concert day at JAMMY CON.
No minimum group size. Each performer can only join one group, and all members must meet the 16+ requirement.
Submit one K-pop cover video with the members who are applying for the competition.
Round 1 selects the Top 3, and Round 2 selects the remaining two finalist spots through public voting and judge review.
Finalists may use multiple K-pop songs or a medley within their stage time, including entrance, setup, performance, and exit.
Round 2 Application Window
Applications open August 20 and close September 10 at 11:59 PM MDT. Late or incomplete applications may not be reviewed.
Pre-Screening
JAMMY CON will check applications for rules, eligibility, completeness, and video requirements before posting.
Where Videos Go
Eligible pre-screened videos will be posted publicly on the JAMMY CON website or YouTube for voting.
Application Checklist
Prepare these details before opening the form.
Your application should represent the exact team applying for the competition. Lineup changes require written permission from JAMMY CON.
Group Info
Group name, contact person, email, member names, and member age confirmation.
Final Video
One continuous K-pop cover dance video, one song only, maximum 4 minutes.
Song Details
Song title, artist, and a clear video link that can be reviewed by JAMMY CON.
Authenticity
No CGI, AI-generated performance footage, virtual avatars, digitally created dancers, or visual effects that hide choreography.
Public voting and judges both matter.
Public voting and judge rankings both use the same top-5 point system. Round 1 advances the Top 3, and Round 2 advances the Top 2 for up to five live finalists.
Live finals use judge scores plus a vote bonus.
Judges score finalists out of 100. Public voting adds bonus points after judge scores are averaged. 3 judges minimum, 5 preferred.
Live Finalist Song Claims
Finalist songs are claimed first come, first served.
Live finalist songs must be K-pop songs. If a song is already claimed, the next group requesting it must choose a different song.
K-pop Only
Live finalist songs must be K-pop songs.
First Come
Song claims are handled in the order they are received.
Own Choreo OK
Groups may use original choreography, official choreography, or a mix of both.
No Backups
Backup dancers are not allowed. Lineup changes require written permission from JAMMY CON.
Spotlight on Stage
Selected finalist groups perform on October 31 in front of a live JAMMY CON audience ready to cheer for standout talent.
Professional Setup
Use sound, lighting, and stage equipment designed to make your performance feel polished and powerful.
Ultimate Passes
Approved members listed on the original application for each selected finalist group receive Ultimate Passes.
$2,000 CAD
The live competition winner receives the grand prize after in-person judging and voting.
Promotion Opportunities
By applying and performing, groups agree JAMMY CON may use application, rehearsal, and performance media for event promotion.
Finalist Logistics
Finalists must attend check-in, rehearsal, and tech check.
JAMMY CON will provide assigned times and live day instructions to the selected finalist groups after Phase 1 is complete.
Required Check-In
Finalists must arrive by the assigned check-in time and follow staff instructions.
Music Deadlines
Finalists must submit clean, performance-ready music files before the event deadline.
Rehearsal
Finalists are required to attend the JAMMY CON rehearsal assigned to their group.
Tech Check
Finalists are required to attend tech check so music, staging, and timing can be confirmed.
Conduct & Acceptance
Finalist spots must be accepted on time.
If a finalist group withdraws, is disqualified, or does not confirm participation by the stated deadline, JAMMY CON may invite the next ranked eligible group.
Confirm Spot
Finalists must confirm participation by the deadline in their finalist notification.
Media Use
JAMMY CON may photograph, film, record, and use event media for promotion.
Disqualification
False information, rule violations, unsafe behavior, missed obligations, or vote manipulation may lead to disqualification.
Next Ranked Group
JAMMY CON may invite the next ranked eligible group if a finalist spot opens.
